The previous owner found the car in rural Tennessee and kept it in his personal MOPAR collection for years before selling the car to current owner. It was given a mild restoration where the trunk pan was professionally replaced and the car was repainted. Also, the original bumpers have been beautifully rechromed. The interior was completely redone with deluxe Legendary interior including new door panels. In addition the seats were professionally recovered, and new door handles were added.

As one of only about 1,000 Hemi powered Roadrunners from 1968, this 425 horsepower, dual 4-barrel carburetor coupe is a fine example of classic American muscle. Attached to the 426 cubic inch Hemi power plant is an 18-spline Hemi four-speed transmission, and a Dana 60 rear axle with a 3.54:1 gear ratio. The car has the correct number radiator, carburetor, and intake manifold. The engine is 1968 date code numbers correct, but not original.  The transmission is out of a 1969 Charger, according to Galen Govier. 

It has the original fender tag and was optioned with power steering and a clock.

Most hemi cars have been over restored and overvalued to the point of not being able to be driven and enjoyed.   Overall, this is a very clean car that is so solid it could be a reliable (and fast!) daily driver.  Hemi's ARE for driving fast, aren't they?
