This is a 1960 Austin Healey BN-7 Roadster, one of about 2500 produced.  At only 2440 lbs curb weight, it is more of a 4 wheel motorcycle than car.  That is what first attracted Carroll Shelby to BN-7 when he first approached long-time friend, Donald Healey, about putting the Ford Small Block into this chassis for his stateside racing program. 

Healey had control over engineering, but no longer called the shots in assembly so he could not set aside any chassis.  As a favor to his friend, Donald walked Ol'Shel over to AC Cars.  The rest, as they say, is history.

A Complete body restoration, finished less than 1000 miles ago.  Patience is the mother of all good restorations.  This one was meticulous, taking 14 months, using only original or replacement parts crafted from original tooling.

This "what if" restomod roadster retains much of what makes it a Healey, including a fully restored, rust and putty free body, suspension, frame and authentic interior. 

Recent improvements include a bolt-in removable (SCCA approved) roll bar-padded to match the new custom made tonneau cover.  The soft top and curtains are also like new and fit nicely over the roll bar.  

The 1968 Mustang 302 V8 first found its home between the fenders in 1987.  A fresh, modernized driveline rebuild was completed only 12000 miles ago:

This Healey comes complete with documentation of all work, dating back to the 1987 engine installation in California, and about 2 inches of receipts by professionals, many extra parts and library of related reference books. It also includes the original factory build record showing the car was shipped to a dealer in Seattle and a copy of Donald Healey's biography indicating that Shelby's first choice for a chassis for the Cobra was a Healey!
