Please Inquire Seller's Agent
Description:

This is Challenger T/A #299188 has done what most only others dream of, took 1st place at Mopar Nationals in 2002 for best original T/A with a win of 215 points out of 220. All the items that cost the 5 points have been addressed. Perhaps equally remarkable as a Mopar Nationals win is the 1st place trophy she brought home at the 2003 Detroit Autorama for BEST RESTORED CAR '70 - '72 ALL MAKES! Not only is she the best among T/A's, or even other Mopars, amongst Chevy's, Ford's, EVERYTHING. She has been kept as a trailered concours show car since her restoration, continuing her trophy conquest most recently in the greater New England area.

Exterior:  All the body panels are well aligned; panel gaps are uniform and tight. Factory correct Sublime tint is laid smooth as glass, no ripples or excessive orange peel. Doors close with the push of a single finger and muted "click". Both hood and deck lid close with minimal effort, no corner chips show that the body was reassembled right.

Interior: The interior soft trim is supple and fresh, in the “near new” condition as you would expect from a show car. The gauges faces, needles, and bright trim work are crisp, lenses are clear and clean. She is well outfitted with factory console bucket seat car and legendary pistol grip 4 speed Hurst shifter. While the fender tag does reflect a black and white interior and standard dash, it was restored as an all black interior with a rally dash, it has made no difference in WINNING 4 NATIONAL 1st PLACE TROPHIES SINCE RESTORATION. There are no discernible flaws, blemishes, or mechanical issues with the interior.

Mechanical: This is a turnkey ready car with no known mechanical deficiencies. All accessories work. Although she is trailered to shows, the engine runs out strong and burns clean. Chassis, brakes and suspension likewise perform their intended duty just as they did new.

Engine Bay/Chassis: Body numbers and drive-train numbers all match. The floor pans are finished “over the top” in body color paint, finished as nice as the topside of the car. Correct finishes abound, from the wiper motor, to the PCV being painted engine color, to the paint dabs on the castle nuts and suspension components throughout the undercarriage.

Judges and restorers agree that is is truly a remarkable example, dripping with details one may no longer get their hands on, like the NOS spark plug shields, or ORIGINAL E series Polyglas front tires, not reproductions. She has all her receipts and complete photo history of the restoration, points judged scoring sheets, and original fender tag. All of this culminates in to what can only be seen as a "Blue Chip" investment quality automobile. If you are looking for a show stopping driver, this car far exceeds that.
