Click Here to BID NOW! This a very fine example of a Factory Five Roadster, painstakingly built by the owner of Blue Moon Motorsports, Al Kamhi as a personal project. While she is not an attempt at exact duplication, Al spared no expense, using all-new components to capture the feel of an original 427 S/C roadster. In fact, is titled in Florida as a 1965 Cobra. So, if you are looking to export or live in an emmissions finicky state, you'll have no problems with title and licencing.
She is made of the right stuff, vintage AutoMeter gauges, an upgraded fully independant 8.8 rear end with adjustable control arms and coil-overs. Front suspension also has adjustable coil-overs and control arms, 4 wheel disc brakes, 5 speed Tremec transmission, and original style 15" pin drive wheels with functional tri-bar knock-offs. Few know this, but most genuine Cobras were born Ivy Green over black, just as you see here.
John Kassermans of Express Engine in DeLand, FL is well known for building power for some of the fastest off shore boat racing was tapped to put the venom into this Cobra. This build began with a vintage FE block, a 390 bored .040 over for a total of 396 cubic inches, fully blaaced, blueprinted, and dyno'd at a respectable 412hp/400 ft/lbs of torque.
She is equipped with two Carter 500 cfm Competition AFB's, on a original aluminuim dual quad intake. Carbs are set up with progressive linkage, runs on 2 barrels and as you step on the accelerator more open, until all 8 are open. This setup is great for driveablity and cruising gas mileage.
With any hand built car, the concern is always quality if parts and craftmanship, this car has the best of both. With 4,100 street driven miles, she's been shaken down and road tuned.
