This is a rotisserie restored 1968 Camaro SS396/325hp, automatic, completed in 2001 and originally built in April 1968. This is the second time this tremendous '68 Camaro has been offered by ShowYourAuto.com, the first time by the gentleman who restored it.
The current owner has kept this fine example in his climate controlled private collection since purchasing it in 2005, adding only 312 miles in that time. The restoration still looks crisp.
The original Towanda Built 396, produced April 16, is a an "MY" code 396 making 325hp, backed by a 400 Turbo Hydromatic transmission. Rear Axle is a 2.73:1large ring gear, Posi, produced April 15, at Chevrolet Gear and Axle. She is also factory equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, and Air Conditioning.
She is stunningly well equipped in Matador Red on Black, Posi-Rear, AM/FM 8 Track, Air Conditioning, Tilt/Power Steering, Power drum brakes, Power steering, Tick-Toc-Tac, and Center Console with gauges. Everything works.
Finding a truly fine example is hard enough, but one with all original sheet metal, a full options list, and Protecto Plate documentation? Not a common find!
