There are plenty of pigs wearing dresses in the muscle car market these days, and almost NO clean driver cars available.  Original drivetrain, documentation, and no evidence of rust repair sets this Charger R/T apart from the group.  This is a great example of an unmolested, well optioned 1970 Charger R/T 440 that you can drive on summer days without fear of chipping the floorpan paint.  All the menchanicals and electrical have been recently gone through.  Everything works. 

Exterior Condition - Body panels fit with uniform gaps, looking down either side panels are well aligned with no visible waves, cracks, checking or dings.  The paint is smooth with a good shine.  Doors close with minimal effort and a gentle "click".  No evidence of rust repair or body panel replacement, although she has been repainted.  Bright work is in very good condition, particularly the vent windows.  Vinyl top is supple with no cracking or bubbles.  Relay for the hideaway headlights was recently replaced, they open and close normally.

Interior Condition - Interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears in the seats, door panels or headliner.  Bright trim and woodgrain are likewise in very good condition with no scratches, fading or flaking.  All the interior lights and accessories work.  The airconditioning was recently overhauled, blows cold on all fan speed settings.  The most remarkable part of the interior is the fact that the TIC_TOC_TAC clock Actually Works!          

Engine/Drivetrain Condition - This is the numbers matching original 440/375hp and Automatic Transmission run out strong and smooth.  Front and rear mains are dry have no oil leaks, oil pan speepage is minimal.  The engine bay is need and clean, all the wiring, belts and hoses are in very good condition.     

Underbody Condition - The underside of the car is in good condition, finished the way you'd expect from a driver. You can tell from the minimal oxidation on the gas tank and leaf springs say that it has spent for of its life in dry, salt free climate.   

Driving Impressions -  The owner of this car has some of the most impressive multi-carb Hemi and 440 SIX PACK cars you care to imagine.  Ironically, this car is the only in his collection you can start with the first turn of the key after sitting for a week.  She drives out strong and track striaght, no drift left or right.  Brake hard with the hands of the wheel and she continues striaght as she halts.  Steering feel is firm and responsive as a '70 Charger was designed to be.

Can you drive it anywhere?  I guess so, since the owner picked this car as his favorite to take on the long trip from Scottsdale to Las Vegas this weekend for "Mopars at the Strip".  Try that with your trailer queen!
