Listing Details: 1967  '67 GTX Convertible, Red Lines, Magnum 500's

SOLD! SOLD!
Description:

This 1967 Plymouth GTX convertible is a remarkable unrestored example of "the gentleman's muscle car".  She comes well equipped with power steering, power brakes, factory A/C, power windows, power top,   Lifting her hood will reveal the 440/375hp Super Commando big-block V8 in complete, original unrestored condition.

Most restored cars have been done because they were too far gone to simply continue to drive.  The battery, tires, and exhaust are the only items that have needed replacement to keep this 1967 GTX in driving good condition.  The exhaust is OEM style replacement, and the tires are re-pop Firestone Deluxe Champions, 75Rx14's with redlines.

Power is ordered to rear wheels through the 727 Torque-flight transmission via console mounted floor shifter.  The chrome OEM ralley styled wheels, shod in redline tires spin in response to thrust of brute big block force.

The interior is original and shows normal wear from use.  The armrest on the drivers door is worn.  The bucket seats, console, and rear seats are not torn and do not have any open seams.  The carpet is sun faded, which is typical of 30 year-old convertibles.  All instrumentation and accessories work.

The undercarriage is unmolested, unrestored, has not been cleaned or rebuilt.  Some oil seepage from the engine is apparent on the front suspension and cross-member.  The motor runs strong and does not burn or drip oil.

The overall paint finish is good, showing thin in places and various chips in others from normal use.  The car wears more than 80% of its original paint, save for the driver's rear quarter that required replacement sometime very early in its history.  There is no evidence of rust or rust repair on this car.  All the other panels are original to the car.  Hard to find chrome pieces and deck lid appliqué are all intact and repairable wear dinged or scratched.

If you are looking for a 1967 GTX convertible that can be actually driven and enjoyed.  Unrestored means you know the details are right, because this car has never been monkeyed with.  If you want to bring her to #2 condition down the road, her original survivor condition will make it easy and affordable task.  In the mean time, drive it, drive it. Drive It!
