Show Your Auto is proud to present the FIRST and only 1964 Dodge 330 426 Street Wedge documented in Galen Govier's Chrylser Registry according to the registry letter dated June, 2005.  Supporting Doumentation also includes a Fender Tag decode performed by Galen Govier and Factory Build Record from the Chrysler Historical Society.  A complete vehicle inspection has been conducted on this vehicle by Ohio Valley Mopar Club President and Mopar Show Judge, Anthony Rotellini on February 28th, 2007. 

The 426 Street Wedge was the street wise Brother to the MAX Wedge and 426 Hemi race cars made that year.  The single 4bbl 426 was factory rated at 365hp and stripped of power options.  The power was focused on one thing, going fast!  Seldom do rare and desireable meet in the muscle car world, this is one of those times.

She is in very good, stock appearing condition with few alterations.  She is currently running a vintage 2X4bbl setup, however the original intake, carb, and chrome unsilenced aircleaner are included in the sale.  The rear leaf springs are also moved inward, the stock mounting points are still intact for stock correct placement.  The engine and transmission are numbers matching, the rearend assembly is out of a 1965 Dodge.   

The black paint is about 14 years old, well cared for the ispector rates it a "7 out of 10" citing a few nicks and rock chips earned from actually driving and enjoying the car.  The most significant blemish noted is a bubble at the bottom of the driver's side door about half the size of a dime.  The underbody is lightly undercoated, as it was from the factory.  There are no missing badges or trim, no evidence of body damage, frame damage or repair.  There is also no evidence of rust repair or floorpan or firewall replacement.  The trunk pan is stock and in very good condition, as are the floor pans.  The only alterations to the sheet metal are a MAX Wedge-style hood scoop and small wheel tubs that allowed fat tires to hookup during her drag racing days.  She is missing her jack and spare.    

The underbody and engine bay were checked for oil and fluid leaks.  None were detected.  The interior is also in very good condition, everything seems clean and crisp.  All switches and accessories work, the radio turns on but does not pickup a signal. 

She fires to life when you turn the key and settles into a steady idle.  No valve chatter or excessive engine vibration was detected.  No exhaust leaks either.  She also passed the driving evaluation with flying colors, the inspector commenting that she feels very tight.

Spartan, Brutish, Older Brother to the Rapid Transit System, this 1964 426-4bbl Dodge 330 2 Door Sedan needs to be seen in person to be properly admired, and driven to be fully appreciated.
