The current owner, a well known race engine builder,  just complete mechanical and cosmetic freshening of an older, well done restoration.  She's been gone through front to back, underside and engine have all been refreshed.  This car has all original paint markings and decals – this is one of the nicest, solid body Mach 1 428 CJ cars you are likely to find.  Ford only made 1,274 "Q" code 428-4v CJ cars with an automatic transmission.

"Q" code 428 CJ, transmission, numbers matching driveline and all OE body panels, floor pans and quarters. All the hard to find stuff is here and correct, snorkel, smog, heat riser and tube, exhaust manifolds, Carter X fuel pump, carburetor, distributor, fan and clutch.  All of the numbers hat can be found, engine block, heads, intake, water pump, transmission, and rear-end appear to be numbers matching.

The paint is in very good condition, only a couple of chips on the front hood edge, and a couple on the door edges makes this a driven show car paint as opposed to the perfect "10" paint you see on trailer queens. The is no evidence of rust or crash repair in the body or undercarriage.  The entire undercarriage is fresh red oxide and sound insulator, just like the factory. All parts were removed, inspected, cleaned, and painted/detailed to factory specs.  Anything that needed replacement, was. 

Clarion Red Interior is very nice and complete, just about like new. All lights inside and out work, as do all accessories, aside from the clock.

The engine and drivetrain were also completely gone through, mechanicaly rebuilt and factory spec detailed.  She runs a bit bigger cam than stock, making her a little cold-blooded with a slight lope at idle.  Once she warms up, she runs and drives out with stump pulling force.  She shifts out great and sounds sweet!  

Overall, the remarkable of thing about this 1969 Mustang Mach 1 is that it has been kept in great shape from new.  The result is a tremendous car that has been restored preserved to factory stock appearance- looking and driving as it did in 1969.  If you are looking for an investment quality car that ou can drive from time to time on a sunny day, this Ford is an ideal.
