This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe looks at home in the palm trees because she's lived in sunny Arizona her whole life.  The best custom street rods begin as  wonderfully preserved originals, just like this one did.

Most distinguishing mark of the 1955 Chevrolet bodies is their low slung silhouettes and vertical windshield pillars.  Her original body panels glistening in Onyx Black are mirror perfect, body side panels smooth as glass.  Chrome, Glass, and stainless are in likewise pristine condition. 

The interior is trimmed out in black leather, accented with white piping on the seats.  Custom door panels with custom double stitched arm rests, double thick carpet, and a full leather headliner complete the look.  The steering wheel is a smaller diameter than the original for an enjoyable driving experience, yet retains the original design that make the '55 distinctive.   

The engine is a balanced and blue printed ZZ383 backed up by a 700R Automatic transmission.  Highway cruising is no problem, doing 60 MPH at 1900 RPM.  Air conditioning and aluminum radiator keep the temperatures cool both inside the cabin and under the hood.
