1967 Shelby GT500 white/white interior 99 Detailed Photos!
#467 is a rare Shelby GT 500 with a number of unique and sought after traits. According to Shelby World Registy records, this is one of only 10 out of the 1,376 GT500 4spds to be finished in Wimbledon White Paint and Parchment Decor Interior. It is a striking contrast to the sea of black that most Shelby interiors greet you with. This car was also one of the first 500 produced, still wearing the fiberglass hood and trunk skins over a steel frame. Only about 100 Shelby's were made with a two-piece glass nose section, before Shelby realized they could go back to one piece design by waiting for the form to set a little while longer. The inboard lights, tailpipe cutouts with chrome trim rings, 15" Magstar Rims, and functional brake cooling scoops all confirm that this is indeed an earlier production car. Details found here that you may not even see on the best of concours cars include the carb choke filter. (Try finding one of those these days.)
This car was ordered new by a father out of J.D. Ball Ford in Miami, FL for his some going to school at U of I in Champaign, IL. The boy must have enjoyed it because we have a work order record for brake pad installation 6 months from new from University Ford! She has live a storied life living at one point in states of Washington and Alaska as constructed by the full owner history. She comes equipped with a full compliment of documentation from Shelby American, SAAC, a copy of the original Bill of Sale, and Marti Report.
There is also extensive photo documentation of the restoration, which shows the body stripped down to bare metal and NO evidence of rust or collision repair. The floor pans, undercoated by the selling dealer, have been cleaned and detailed remaining as a testament of just how well this car has weathered the years as the ultimate performance Mustang.
