This 1971 440 SIX PACK Cuda shows only 20,877 actual miles, living most of her life in the state where she was born, New Mexico.  All the major body panels appear to be original, as are the engine, transmission, and rear-end.  Her factory build sheet has been decoded by Galen Govier.  Restored in 2005/2006, this Cuda is the epitome of an investment quality collector piece that you can also drive and enjoy.

Interior:  Restored less than 500 miles ago, all the gauges and accessories work in this nearly new interior.  Factory accessories include Woodgrain Console, Pistol Grip 4speed, an electric clock.  Born a street and strip bruiser, the original owner opted for the asymmetrical “cyclops” dash, no doubt preferring a more accurate aftermarket Tach over the stock unit.  The original steering wheel is the only item not refurbished in an interior that is otherwise as delivered to her first owner.    

Drivetrain/Chassis:  The numbers matching 440 SIX PACK engine is mated to the matching 4speed A833 transmission.  As with all “Track Pack” cars, the rear end is the mighty Dana 60 spinning 3.54:1 gears.  She was born with Rallye road wheels and F70x14 tires, today she rides on 15x7’s shod in era correct Goodyear F60 poly-glass tires preferred by Mopar restorers and enthusiasts alike.  Undercarriage is super clean, painted body color and show car detailed.  It was almost a shame to take her out on the road…almost.

Paint/Body:  In learning this car’s history, she started out as a vehicle that had weathered time well, nearly too nice to restore at all.  The Shakerhood, color-keyed bumpers, and 440 billboards were uncommonly ordered options in 1971, added during the restoration.  Overall the paint is in very good condition.  One has to eyeball the car very closely to reveal any imperfections.  There are a few retouched areas, like the edge of the trunk lid where it meets the passenger side quarter, that panel gap has been adjusted but is still tighter on the passenger side than the driver’s.  Looking hard for paint flaws, one will find tiny bubbles trapped in the clear along the beltline on the passenger door and drivers side quarter window.  There is also some discolored drip marks  The stainless trim on both doors does not sit flush, curving against the bodyline.  This is typical of reproduction brightwork.  Most, if not all of the sheet metal is believed to be original, no obvious quarter panel replacement seems were evident upon inspection of the trunk.  Mini spare, jack, and aluminum fill bottle are all present.  The factory correct detail abounds in the engine bay as well, from date coded plug wires to factory correct hose clamps.

Summary:  Documentation includes original broadcast sheet, reproduction window sticker, and Galen Govier Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tag decode.  If you are looking for a strong #2 SIX PACK Cuda “Car01k” that you can drive, show, enjoy and holds the prospect of gaining value in the future, this one has all the right stuff!
