This 1968 factory Super Sport Chevelle boasts its original, numbers matching drivetrain.  She is also well documented by the original Protect-O-Plate, previous owner registrations, and bevy of receipts. Don't mistake the clean western car for an uptight trailer queen.  The factory rated 325hp 396 cubic inch motor has been professionally dialed in by legendary hot rod shop, Performance Restorations of Mundelein, IL.  A new Holley 750 Double-pumper, MSD ignition system and Hedman headers conspire to transform fossil fuel into high velocity at a torrid rate.  The stock 12 bolt rear take the torque and lays it on the asphalt through Goodyear Eagle F1 Z rated tires.  255/40 up front and 285/40 out back.  3" custom exhaust system sends the spent fumes packin'.  Stainless steel tips make sure the gasses make a fashionable exit.

Hotchkis handles the horsepower both front and rear, complete with front and rear sway bars and Bilstein adjustable shocks. She handles with point and shoot precision, giving you the ability to dial your ride for drag racing or serious track duty.  Power without control is no power at all, so four wheel disc brakes make the 17" American Racing stop as quick as she goes.

All this power means little without the beauty to match.  A quick inspection of the undercarriage and trunk space confirms that you are looking at most, if not all her original factory sheet metal. The owner reports only one repaint in her stock Tripoli Teal hue.  The interior also looks original, 40 years of patina, yet well cared for bright work and soft-trim shows well inside and out.  The odometer reads an original 53,000 miles.  An aftermarket AM/FM stereo system complete with iPod/Mp3 connection blends tastefully into the otherwise factory dash.
