Description:

According to Galen’s Chrysler Registry, only 246 440 SIX PACK Challenger R/T were produced in 1971.  Only 127 of them were 4spds.  As of September 21st, 2004 only 78 1971 440 SIX PACK Challengers are left known to exist.  Overall, the car is in very good condition and drives extremely well.  She is VERY fast.  No car is perfect, the photos accurately represent the condition of the car.

This car was bought by the current owner in 2001.  He had the car ground up restored to strike an ideal balance of condition and driveability. The work began in 2004.

Exterior: The car was stripped bare, all body panels were retained and are all original.  There is one 2”x3” all metal patch panel on the lower front passenger quarter panel and a 1”x1” metal patch the rook skin. These were the only rust repairs needed on the car. Front and rear bumpers were rechromed.

Interior: The interior was restored, including new carpet, new seat covers and foam.

Added factory correct six-way power seat. All gauges and accessories are in good working order.

Mechanical: The engine was pulled and tested, it did not require a full rebuild, but they did replace the oil pump, water pump, roller chain, etc. Replaced original six pack carbs. with a new Holley set up. The owner also added Aluminum Edelbrock Aluminum Intake at the time of restoration. The buyer can choose either set up as part of sale. She also is equipped with a new correct (959) Hemi spec radiator, new Centerforce Clutch, new TTi 2.5” exhaust with Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers and chrome tips.

Engine Bay/Chassis: The engine was painted, exhaust manifolds were powder coated. Engine bay was completely restored with new wiring, correct hoses, clamps, lines, etc. Because the intention of the car is to drive it, the undercarriage is original and unrestored.
