A scarce muscle car that is definitely a top dog in the Muscle Car Market; the GSX Stage 1 is a hot car with a Rear Spoiler, Unique Stripes, Hurst Shifter, Heavy-Duty Suspension, Tach, Front Disc Brakes and a functional hood with scoops. Only 678 1970 GSX's were built, of those, a mere 488 were ordered with the Stage 1 upgrade in two color options. Only 178 GSX's were built in Apollo White (estimated 128 with Stage 1 package).  This one is the rarest of them all, GSX Stage 1, Apollo White with a 4spd transmission and NO A/C. 

She was last points judged by Buick Club of America in 2004 earning a Senior Gold.  This is an extremely original and correct car, having earned the Skylark “A” Body award for the highest scoring “A” Body at the Buick Club of America Nationals.  She had also previously won First in GSX class at GS Nationals. 

She is 100% numbers matching, retaining her original engine, transmission, and rear end.  The carb, distributor, and spare are likewise original.  She also wears all of her original sheet metal. You could not ask more in the way of documentation; original build sheet, final body sheet, Wayne Roberts registry letter, and previous owner history.

The undercarriage patina has mellowed with age and conservative driving.  A respectable 8,000 miles have been logged  on the car since her concours restoration.  She has been trailered enclosed during inclement weather or on any trip more 100 miles.  Since her award winning restoration, her engine bay from the firewall forward has been refreshed to keep it in show worthy condition. Interior soft-trim, chrome, and brightwork is crisp, still appearing fresh.   Exterior bodywork is in very good condition.  Chrome and glass are near perfect.  The biggest paint flaws include a retouched door chip not visible from 10’.  The door has been adjusted to a proper gap, preventing future contact.  The other cosmetic shortfall is a hairline crack in the lower valance grill.  An NOS grill still in the box is included in the sale.
