1967 Shelby GT500

Here is the Shelby GT500 worth taking a hard look at. Please pass it on to anyone you know who may be sincerely interested. ~Patrick
Shelby GT500 #3168 comes equipped with a numbers matching 428 C.I. Shelbized V8 and matching 4 speed Shelby top loader big input transmission. The VIN is stamped into the transmission housings as it should be. Options include extra cooling package, courtesy light group, fold down rear seat, power steering, power front disc brakes, interior décor group, tachometer and trip odometer and deluxe Kelsey Hays Magstar wheels with period correct Goodyear speedway 350 small letter tires. This vehicle just completed in May of 2009 a 18 month through complete no expense spared historically correct concours restoration supervised and inspected by a well known ‘67 Shelby concours judge. Mostly NOS (New Old Stock ) or refurbished to look new original parts were used in the restoration. Every nut and bolt was cross checked with engineering drawings and vendor markings to assure the highest level of correctness. This car was built with the intention to make it appear as it did when delivered to the first customer from the dealer in 1967. No original detail was too small to overlook. This car won top gold honors in concours at the 2009 Shelby American Automobile Club national convention. The concours judges spent well over two hours admiring the attention to detail when ordinarily 45 minutes would do. This magnificent car has been proudly owned by the same long time SAAC member owner for almost 20 years. It’s previous owner was the 67 Shelby registrar for SAAC (Shelby American Automobile Club ) so it’s pedigree is assured. This is a top car for any Shelby collector. If you want only the best, this car will fill the bill. She is offered at $195,000 Call Patrick Krook for details, (847) 838-3749

Illinois SAAC 1st Annual Chili Cookoff!

Here are a few photos from the 1st annual Illinois Chapter Shelby American Automobile Club Chilli cookoff. 7 chilis were fielded, including my late entry which I called "Dogbreath Shelby Fusion" created by blending my most favorite parts of the 2005 National Chili Cook-off winner, Dogbreath Chili and Carrolls own recipe. So yes, it had beer and cheese in it. Five varieties freshly boiled and pureed chilies, lime juice, chicken broth, beef broth, and a touch of brown sugar came from the other recipe. My chili didn't win. In true Shelby Lover's fashion, we didn't get any photos of the chili, just the cars!

1968 Shelby GT500 KR

This 1968 GT500KR, 4spd in Acapulco Blue with White Stripes i sin very good condition, a well maintained original car, not a perfect car, but very nice driver quality California car. She comes complete with full documentation going back to the original owner, including the original build-sheet and most all of her maintenance and repair receipts. The original radiator has been set aside (intact and in good shape) in favor of a more efficient aluminum unit. The same for the heads, which are included with the car. This '68 4spd KR is on her 4th owner now, California car born and raised. She is equipped with Tilt Steering, but not AC. Contact Patrick Krook at 847-838-3749 for more details

Project SN65, The Ultimate Restomod!

You turn around and see what, at first glance, looks like a tastefully modified '65 fastback. You recognize the clean classic lines, but somehow, this car is different. You can't put your finger on it, so you come for a closer look. You are struck by the stance. The car is low, aggressive, and almost sinister in appearance. More and more details start to register. The flared fenders and quarter panels. The subtle air intake located in the lower valance. The shaved drip rails. The details are endless. In the end, what you discover isn't just a pretty face, she's an engineering marvel, and all the right people agree. No Longer Available
