'71 Plymouth HEMI 'CUDA

In 1971 there was no other car that could compete with a 426 Hemi. Made for racing, detuned for the street. They called it the King, and it aptly held that title. You could not get any better then a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda. The incredible looks of the one year only cheese grater grille with four headlights, the gilled side fenders and large billboard stripes on the side. You could not get this car confused with any other. And with the power to back it up, you were the King. This 1971 Hemi 'Cuda is just one of 48 automatic cars built. And this one is a very early built car in the series with a build date of August 24th, 1970. This car was authenticated by Dave Wise, and according to his report the data tag is original, the original trim tags are there and the broadcast sheet is original. The car has all of the factory body panels intact and in excellent condition. Only small patches were used at the bottoms of the quarters.Additionally there is an extensive owner history. This was a “special handling” car when ordered as is notated on the build sheet. The fender tag's VON (Vehicle Order Number) is notated as a “Direct Sale”, this most likely resulting from it being a executive ordered car.It is interesting to note that the houndstooth interior was redone using the very last NOS material known to exist. Michael Mancini's shop, American Muscle Car Restorations, http://www.amcri1.com/ of Kingstown, RI did the concours correction following Mr. Wise's inspection.
